Your Wave Mixed Media Art Journal
Hello Crafty friends, Nina here and I am so excited to show you my first creation as a Design Team member for Art by Marlene and using the newest release.
Art Journal Mixed Media Project for Art By Marlene.
To start with the background, I took out a paper from the adorable elastic bound journal and I used my Gel Plate and added drops from Light blue and white Art By Marlene Acrylic paints and with a brayer I started rolling the brayer on the gel plate to lift some paint and then roll it on my page multiple times until the background is complete.
I then used the rubber stamp set from Art by Marlene, linked in the supply list below, with blue distress ink shades: Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China and Salvaged Patina to stamp randomly here and there on my background. I also did the same using the new postage stamps set.
I then used Art by Marlene blending brush and Broken China Distress Ink to frame all around my the page with just light strokes.
To create the waves, I cut two pink scraps with my hand from the new Mono Postage Fun Paper Pad and glued them with ABM glue stacked to the bottom of the page.
For my focal elements I chose a boat and light house images from the new paper elements booklet and glued them behind the waves.
I used my Crop-a-dile to attach two eyelets on the holes and finished up by decorating with enamel dots and stickers.
